FATAL HIT AND RUN – TOMS RIVER

Toms River, NJ – On Friday, March 6, 2015 at 8:20 pm, a pedestrian hit and run crash occurred on Route 37 (westbound) in the area of Fischer Boulevard. Struck and killed was Jeffrey Michel, 27, of Colts Neck, New Jersey.

A piece of BLUE debris located at the scene was matched to the bottom right corner of a two (2) door Jeep Wrangler front grille (passenger’s side) where the fender meets the grille. The blue color was used on 2013, 2014, or 2015 Jeep Wranglers (Part # 68046306AB). The above photo depicted a blue Jeep Wrangler and the far right photo contains the actual vehicle part and depicts where the piece actually fits on the vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding a 2010 and newer blue Jeep Wrangler with front end damage on the passenger side, or know of anyone who has recently replaced/repaired a grille matching the above description please contact Det.
