GUILTY PLEA IN AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE

Carl A. Creadle, 47, of Lakewood, NJ entered a guilty plea yesterday (8/4) before Judge Wendel E. Daniels to 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault. The prosecution, led by Senior Assistant Prosecutor Terry Ann Linardakis, is seeking 15 years in New Jersey State Prison, Megan’s Law Registration, Parole Supervision for Life, and Nicole’s Law (No contact with victim). The sentencing will take place after an AVENEL evaluation.

The guilty plea stems from Creadle’s March 1, 2015 arrest after an investigation by Lakewood Police Officer Edgardo Vega Jr. and Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Detectives Jason Steele and Stephanie Bayha. The arrest resulted from a February of 2015 sexual assault upon a 6 year old juvenile victim, who was known to the defendant, which occurred in Lakewood Township. The conduct was witnessed by an individual who was residing in the victim’s home. This witness reported the incident to the victim’s parents.

Assisting with the investigation were Det. Sgt. Greg Staffordsmith and Det. Eric Cicerello of the Lakewood Police Department, Det. Sgt. Jamie Phillips and Detective Stephen Capoano of the Ocean County Sheriff’s CSI Unit.   Debra Giordano from Victim / Witness assisted the victim’s family.

Creadle has been continuously incarcerated in default of $100,000 no 10% option bail since the time of his arrest.
