Monmouth Man Sentenced In Multiple Ocean County Burglaries

On Friday May 9, 2014 the Honorable Wendel E. Daniels, P.J.Cr. sentenced John G. Killian, 36, of Middletown, NJ to four (4) years in New Jersey State Prison for committing multiple burglaries within Ocean County.  The case was handled by Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor Ehsan F. Chowdhry, who sought a five (5) year term along with full restitution and no victim contact for the ten (10) burglaries he plead guilty to on Monday March 24, 2014. 

The sentencing stems from the arrest of Killian on or about June 14, 2013 for a multitude of burglaries, thefts and criminal mischief acts that occurred in the Borough of Point Pleasant, Ocean County between the dates of January 11, 2013 through May 17, 2013.  The defendants’ criminal acts spanned over five (5) months and included guilty pleas to nine (9) commercial burglaries and one (1) motor vehicle burglary.  The establishments burglarized consisted of O’Brien’s Florist, Touch of Class Hair Salon, Dairy Queen and various chiropractic / medical offices in the Borough of Point Pleasant.  The items stolen included cash, checks, lidocaine bottles, hypodermic needles, amongst other things. 

At the time of his indictment bail was $100,000 no 10%. Kilian has been continuously incarcerated since that time.
