Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato Announced Today the Arrest of Edgar Dykstra for Possession of Child Pornography

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced today the arrest of Edgar Dykstra for possession of child pornography.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato along with Tuckerton Police Chief Michael Caputo announced today the arrest of Edgar Dykstra age 67 of Little Egg Harbor for possession of child pornography. After receiving a tip that Mr. Dykstra was allegedly in possession of child pornography, members of the Tuckerton Police Department contacted the Prosecutor’s High Tech. Crimes Unit and a multi jurisdictional cooperative investigation commenced.

As a result of the investigation members of the Prosecutor’s High Tech. Crimes Unit, the Tuckerton Police Department and the Little Egg Harbor Police Department executed a search warrant on July 8, 2014 at Mr. Dykstra’s residence, specifically 6 Lake Singleton Drive, Little Egg Harbor. Detectives also executed a search warrant on a laptop computer belonging to Mr. Dykstra. As a result of the search warrants over 100 images indicative of child pornography were recovered.

Mr. Dykstra was arrested and transported to the Tuckerton Police Department where he was charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography. The Honorable Superior Court Judge Francis R. Hodgson Jr. JSC set bail on Mr. Dykstra at $35,000 with a ten percent option.  Mr. Dykstra was subsequently lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of bail.
