PROSECUTOR CORONATO CONTINUES HIS INITIATIVES TO SLAM DOOR ON DRUG DEALERS

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced today the culmination of an investigation into drug activity in the Southern Ocean County area.

Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Southern Enforcement Unit conducted a cooperative multi agency drug investigation with the Barnegat Township Police Department that resulted in the arrest of a three Ocean County residents on various drug charges.  During the course of the investigation, Detectives obtained a no knock search warrant for a residence located at 266 Hawthorne Lane, Barnegat Township NJ.

During the late evening hours of Thursday July 9 2015, Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Southern Enforcement Unit, along with members of the Barnegat Township Police Narcotics Unit, and the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team executed the no knock search warrant at the subject residence.  As a result of the investigation and the execution of the search warrant, police seized a quantity of “Raw” uncut/unpackaged heroin, quantities of packaged heroin, along with assorted drug paraphernalia including packaging materials, empty glassine envelopes used in the packaging and manufacturing of heroin. Also seized were rubber gloves and a facemask. Police also seized approximately $800 in suspected drug proceeds. During the course of the investigation a 2005 Lexus white in color was identified as being used to facilitate the drug distribution activities of Damon Ellis age 42 of Barnegat. The Lexus has been seized pending forfeiture actions.

Damon Ellis age 42 of  266 Hawthorne Lane, Barnegat NJ was arrested and charged with two counts each of  Possession of Heroin,  Possession of  Heroin under one half ounce with Intent to Distribute, one count of distribution of heroin, tampering with evidence, Manufacturing a CDS (Heroin) and Possession of drug paraphernalia. The Honorable Superior Court Judge Patricia Roe JSC set bail at $100,000 no ten percent for Mr. Ellis who was subsequently housed in the Ocean County Jail.

Brandon Foster age 26 of 809 Buccaneer Lane, Manahawkin NJ was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin. Mr. Foster was released on a summons.

Julianne Celentano age 25 of 809 Buccaneer Lane, Manahawkin NJ was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin. Ms. Celentano was released on a summons.

The media and public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that these defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.  Photographs of the arrested individual are available on the Ocean County Jail’s web site.
