JACKSON TOWNSHIP FATAL CRASH

On Wednesday (5/11/2016), at approximately 5:11 am, the Jackson Township Police Department and OCPO Fatal Accident Investigation Unit responded to a reported motor vehicle crash with injuries in the area of Cassville Road.

Upon their arrival the investigation found a 2009 Ford Flex being driven by Richard Ulis, 59, of Toms River was traveling northbound on Cassville Road in Jackson Township when for some unknown reason he crossed over the center median striking a tree off the sound bound shoulder on the property of 182 Cassville Road.

Richard Ulis, the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 5:39 am. The scene was processed/photographed by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI. The investigation continues.
