Homeland Security

The mission of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office – Intelligence, Homeland Security and Special Projects Unit is to provide coordination and support to all Ocean County response agencies with the knowledge and information necessary to make informed judgments and take appropriate actions to effectively counter and control criminal activities, hazards and community threats related to:

• Organized Criminal Groups

• Street Gangs

• Prison Gangs

• Outlaw Motorcycle Groups

• Terrorism

The Intelligence, Homeland Security and Special Projects Unit disseminate information regarding officer safety, crime trends and threat assessments to law enforcement officers in the field.

The Unit also coordinates Homeland Security Grants to provide funding for terrorist and/or all-hazard preparedness efforts in the areas of: planning, training, exercises and equipment.

To this end, the Intelligence, Homeland Security and Special Projects Unit will work in partnership with all Federal, State, County and Local agencies as well as the community to efficiently and effectively enhance the safety and security of the citizens of Ocean County.
