Lakewood suspicious death investigation
Today at approximately 2:15 pm the Lakewood Police Department was notified by a woman out walking her dog in Lake Shenandoah Park that a male was laying on the ground unresponsive. Lakewood PD responded and found the male deceased.
The officers secured the scene and the Lakewood Detective Bureau, OCPO Major Crimes Unit and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI responded to process the scene.
At this time the investigation is labeled a suspicious death. No ID or condition of the body will be provided until a formal report is received from the Ocean County Medical Examiners Office.
