NEW PARTNERSHIP FOR OVERDOSE EPIDEMIC TO BE REVEALED BY COUNTY PROSECUTORS

(FREEHOLD) Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni and Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato will hold a joint press conference on Wednesday, July 1 at 10 a.m. to make a major announcement about a new partnership in the fight to stem the tide of the overdose epidemic in both counties.

In just over a year, more than 460 opiate-related overdoses were reversed by law enforcement officers who were the first to arrive on the scene of a potentially deadly heroin or prescription opiates drug overdose armed with the overdose antidote naloxone, funded by the money seized from criminal activity and retained in their respective County Law Enforcement Trust Accounts (CLETA).

Joining the Prosecutors for their announcement will be hospital officials from every hospital system in Monmouth and Ocean counties, as well drug education and prevention authorities.

The press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 1 at the headquarters of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office located at132 Jerseyville Ave., Freehold.
