Brick Township Police Involved Shooting Update
The identity of the deceased subject and the Patrolman involved are:
Deceased: Julian Hoffman, 21, Brick Township NJ.
Brick Township Patrolman Involved. Both assigned to the Patrol Division. Brick Township Chief Nils R Bergquist Jr. advises both Patrolman are on paid administrative leave pending the completion of the investigation:
Jay Nye, 31, Hired 9/02/11
Ryan Osborn, 25, Hired 4/11/13
The investigation continues and all efforts will be made to expedite its’ completion. There will be no further information released today. We ask the media and public to refrain from speculating on the facts surrounding the shooting. A full account of the evidence and circumstances surrounding the shooting will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
