SENTENCING IN AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE

Angel Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 27, of Lakewood, NJ, was sentenced yesterday (12/16) before Judge Rochelle Gizinski, J.S.C. for 1st Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault. He received 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, with the following conditions imposed as per the sentence: No Early Release Act, Megan’s Law Registration, Nicole’s Law (No contact with victim), Parole Supervision for Life, and an ICE detainer. Angel Rodriguez-Gonzalez was found not to be a repetitive and compulsive offender after an AVENEL evaluation.

The sentence is the result of a guilty plea entered on June 12, 2014. The offense occurred on November 3, 2011 in Lakewood and was investigated by Ocean County Special Victims Unit Detectives Melissa Matthews and Jason Steele and Lakewood PD Detective Jason Pederson. Senior Assistant Prosecutor Terry Ann Linardakis prosecuted the case.
